The technological innovation consisted in using free software resources and web geomatics in a participatory systemic approach to produce two-in-one: a dynamic thematic mapping module for better understanding phenomena over time and space; and a spatial analysis module tailored to user needs to geographically represent an indicator linked to a given activity. Capacity building was the final activity.

Period
2008–2009

Client
Millennium Challenge Account (MCA) Benin

Funding
Millennium Challenge Corporation (United States)

Partner
CRC SOGEMA (Canada)

Geoscientific Information System (Planets, Moon, and Mars)

Web GIS for Planetary and Terrestrial Geoscientific Databases: The Moon, Mars, and Terrestrial Analog Sites

Description
GEOIMAGE SOLUTIONS conducted a feasibility study on the implementation of an Internet mapping system for the study of terrestrial, lunar, and Martian craters.
